Step 1: Planning Drawings
Collaborate with our architect to translate your ideas into planning designs, which will be submitted to the council for approval.
*(Duration: Typically 4 weeks)*
Step 2: Council Approval
Once the planning designs are finalized, Prgextension will submit the plans to the council on your behalf for approval.
*(Duration: Typically 8–12 weeks)*
Step 3: Detailed Building Control Drawings & Structural Calculations
After receiving planning approval, detailed construction drawings and structural calculations will be prepared to ensure compliance with current building regulations. These drawings will be submitted to the council for review and confirmation before the project begins.
* Thames Water build over agreements are required for any building works to existing properties within 3 metres of a public sewer, or within 1 metre of a public lateral drain
** Party Wall Agreement – You need a party wall agreement when you plan building work on or near a party wall, which is a shared wall or boundary between properties
*(Duration: Approximately 3 weeks for drawings, 1 week for council review)*
Step 4: Detailed Quote
At this stage, the Prgextensions team will provide a detailed quote for your review and approval.
*(Duration: Approximately 10 days)*
Step 5: Contracts
Prgextensions will draft a contract, including a delivery and payment schedule, for your review and approval before the project commences.
*(Duration: Approximately 6 days)*
Step 6: Project Execution
Once the start date is agreed upon, construction will begin. Building control inspectors will be invited to review the project at key stages before granting final sign-off.
